JOB & INTERNSHIP/FIELD PLACEMENT OPPORTUNITIES
The purpose of this position is to provide a range of counseling and case management services to CSD clients: individuals, children, families, couples, and/or groups. These services are to enable CSD clients to function with or improve upon identified problems. The goal is to optimize the CSD client level of functioning in the most efficient and effective manner possible.
This position will be responsible for carrying out project activities such as providing trainings to children grades Pre K - 5th utilizing the I Can Tell curriculum, and providing trainings to adults over the age of 18 utilizing the Stewards of Children curriculum. Must be willing to travel to multiple setting to provide trainings including schools, churches, daycares, etc.
Family Services offers internship/field placement opportunities for students currently enrolled in accredited Masters level programs for Social Work, Clinical Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy.
Community Services for the Deaf, a program of Family Services offers mentoring/practicum opportunities to students attending accrediting schools to become an American Sign Language Interpreter, or for working interpreters who want more experiences in different settings.
