Neighborhoods have changed over the years but the need for strong communities have not. In the Community Building Department, we help develop a "shared vision" among neighbors in order to develop and reach goals. We support families and communities by mobilizing a broad range of resources to connect them with other needed services. Our efforts are community based, asset oriented, flexible, holistic and participatory. Family Service Association provides many activities through Community Building including: basic community organizing, leadership development, brokering relationships, housing and economic development, plus home based counseling and case management services. |
